Matariki Celebration
My first hangi at school.
I am writing about Matariki Celebration. Matariki is all about spending time with your family and having a good time. Matariki is the eldest sister in the cluster; they are actually nine stars. Matariki protects the other stars. Waiti is the youngest sister. The second youngest sister is Waita.
Matariki is a star cluster, not a constellation. Matariki puts the other sister in their space. Room 8 and all of the other classes were making art for Matariki. We made something on our chromebook and we made slides. We had to write facts about Matariki then everyone finished but some of them didn't finish. When we were doing the slides Mrs Lamas was stapling our wishing star in the whole way.
Mrs Lamas made the shape like a M and it stands for Matariki. We started going to the other classes in the middle block. The first class we went to was room 10 , room 11 , room 7 , room 6 , room 2 and 3 then the last class we went to was room 4 when we left we sang a song is Maori and it was macalen
Finally we went to the hall for our hangi and these were the stuff inside chicken , Vegan pumpkin and kumara. Then I only ate the kumada and some pumpkin and some vegetables.

My Mask
My Mask
My first time I've made a mask with a paper towel
On Monday the 25th of May 2020 I made a paper towel mask. Mask is something which people wear to cover their full face or part of their face. People wear masks to protect themselves from the disease or air-bone disease.
I made the mask at Glen Innes School in room 8. I ask Boston if he can help me to make the mask and this is how I made the mask. I folded it like a fan and after that, I folded the sides and it was both of the sides not that big. Then after that, I put the rubber bands on and the color was purple and after that, I stapled and I tried it on and it fit me but after a few minutes, the mask ripped so I made another one.
You can use a mask for going shopping or going to different places and you can make the mask with a bandana too. I felt so happy because I got to make my own mask.
